Shannon Oliver-O’Neil, LSW :
Shannon Oliver-O’Neil is a licensed social worker, educator and theater-maker working at the intersections of mental and sexual health. She works with individuals, couples and families struggling with addictions, anger problems, anxiety, depression, emotional instability, grief, trauma, and sexuality issues.

Shannon Oliver-O’Neil has taught sexual health curriculum in a variety of school settings and has trained adult educators and health care providers how to better support young people, people of color, and gender nonconforming or trans clients in their care. As a therapist, Shannon will work collaboratively with you to set treatment goals, and to draw out existing strengths within yourself and your community in order to achieve them. Sexuality is a fundamental part of personal identity, and every person has the right to current, accurate and relevant information and treatment. Shannon’s methods incorporate behavioral, cognitive, psychodynamic and arts-based approaches, depending on your needs.
Shannon received a Bachelors degree at Northwestern University, and went on to receive her Masters in Social Work at the University of Michigan. She is currently working towards her AASECT certification. Some of Shannon’s areas of expertise are: anxiety, depression, trauma, gender identity, sexual function, and grief work.
