The Anxiety Support Group meetings focus on:

  • Understanding your anxiety

  • Manage your symptoms
  • Utilizing cognitive-behavioral strategies to cope

Depression Support Group:

Do you feel sad, irritable, angry, or indifferent? Have you experienced unexplained episodes of crying? Do you feel guilty or worthless? Do you have difficulty making decisions? Do you feel unable to take pleasure in the things you used to enjoy? If so, then you might benefit from joining a depression support group.

The Depression support group meetings focus on:

  • Decreasing isolation
  • Exploring the mind/body connection

Baby Blues Support Groups:

Help with Herpes: A Support Group

Help with Herpes provides a safe environment in which you can discuss how herpes is impacting your life, meet people who know just what you’re going through, learn tips and techniques about managing herpes, and get support and guidance as you adjust to living with herpes.

How can Help with Herpes help? Though each person’s reaction to being diagnosed with herpes is unique, most people share similar concerns. You may be asking yourself:

The Postpartum Depression Support Group:

The Postpartum Depression Support Group is for you if your baby is less than six months old and you find yourself sometimes:

  • Feeling depressed or anxious.
  • Wondering why motherhood is not as wonderful as you expected it to be.
  • Not feeling like you are in love with your child
  • Feeling emotionally flat.
  • Sleep deprived and exhausted.
  • Limiting the number of activities that you do with your child for fear of what might happen.
  • Experiencing obsessive thinking and / or disturbing thoughts
  • Feeling lonely and wanting to connect with other mothers.

The topics that will be covered include, but are not limited to:

  • Getting the support you need
  • The myths of motherhood versus the reality of motherhood
  • The role of fathers and other primary caregivers
  • Identifying & overcoming the negative thought patterns
  • Skill building, taking care of yourself and your family
  • Medications: to use or not to use

Pregnancy Class: Prepare for Parenthood

Are you the only one you know who is pregnant? Do you want to make friends with other women who will have babies about the same age as your child? Do you have questions about what to expect. Then this group is just for you.

This pregnancy support group is designed to answer all the questions that women have that their doctors do not have time to answers and to create an environment where women can support each other. It takes a village to raise a child. Getting informed about what to expect and establishing a support network is the first step to taking care of yourself as you embark upon this new journey of motherhood.
