Julie Pisani, MFT
Julie Pisani currently is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson University’s Department of Counseling and Behavioral Health, where she studied Couple and Family Therapy. During her time at Thomas Jefferson, she specialized in systemic family therapy. Julie is currently working towards her license as a Marriage and Family Therapist through her work at The Center for Growth.
While obtaining her master’s degree, Julie completed an internship and training at Council for Relationships in Philadelphia, PA. During this time, Julie worked with individuals, families, and couples of all ages, going through personal and relationship challenges. Julie also organized and facilitated group therapy for youth and adolescents aged 5 years to 18 years old.
In her work, Julie often takes a trauma informed, strength-based, and collaborative approach. She works to build a strong therapeutic alliance and create a safe and welcoming environment. Some of Julie’s focus areas are individuals, families, and couples dealing with life’s transitions, divorce/separation, co-parenting, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, and trauma. Julie also has expertise working with adolescents and children with over eight years of experience with youth ages 2 years to 18 years old in various settings. Julie’s experiences and focus areas working with younger clients include positive self-esteem, emotional regulation, social relationships, family dynamics, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
